Congrats to the Bulldogs!

CBC Hit Hard by State Budget Cuts
by Matt McGee on May 11, 2009 in Pasco News, Pasco Schools
Ouch. CBC has just announced what I’d call massive cuts to both staff and educational programs based on decreased state education funding.
For 2010, the school’s operations budget has been cut by almost $3.5 million. Here’s what that means:
enrollment will be cut by “up to one thousand” FTE students
55 staff and faculty positions will be eliminated [...]

by Matt McGee on May 5, 2009 in Pasco Schools
I don’t think we post much sports-related stuff here on the blog, but anytime one of the high schools loses or hires a football coach, it’s big news.

Nice, isn’t [...]

by Matt McGee on October 26, 2008 in Pasco Schools
Work continues on the enormous site of Pasco’s new Chiawana High School — the home of the Riverhawks.
A couple months ago, Pasco School District officials said the project was about 60% done. There’s a lot of activity on the 80-acre site, so it semms safe to assume that’s now closer to 2/3rds or even 70% [...]
