recycleThe City of Pasco is in the process of sending out surveys asking residents about curbside recycling — and specifically how much you’d be willing to spend on curbside recyling. KVEW-TV reported on this last week:

The city is also creating a community survey asking residents how much they would be willing to spend on curbside recycling.

The results will go to the city council.

“They’ll review the entire survey and determine what areas they may want to focus on as we move into the next year or two with city council goals” said Stan Strebel, Deputy City Manager.

The story says the survey results may be ready by January. Also in there — the city is thinking about adding new neighborhood recycling centers at Stevens Middle School, Emerson Elementary and Virgie Robinson Elementary.

(In case you didn’t know, the city of Richland has a test project underway on this, too. Four neighborhoods there are currently doing curbside recyling. Early reports are that it’s a big success and may be expanded throughout the city next year.)
