The economy seems to be getting better these days, but this isn’t the kind of news a lot of parents will want to hear: The Pasco School Board voted this week to raise prices for school meals starting with the 2010-2011 school year.
I haven’t seen any information about this on the district web site, but here’s how the Herald explained the new school food prices:
- Elementary breakfast will go from $1.10 to $1.25. Elementary lunch will go from $1.95 to $2.15.
- Middle and high school breakfast will go from $1.35 to $1.50. Secondary school lunch will go from $2.35 to $2.50.
- Adult breakfast will go from $1.75 to $2. Adult lunch will go from $3 to $3.50.
- Milk will go from 35 cents to 40 cents.
The school board voted unanimously to approve the new prices.
