Speaking of stimulus money, the Herald is reporting that the Pasco Airport is in line to get $8.7 million of federal stimulus money. The funds will be used for two projects:
- reconstructing the airport’s primary runway
- replacing the asphalt “apron” (where planes park) with a concrete surface on the north side of the airport
Airport Director Jim Morasch says bids for the projects will be solicited in the next few months, and work will start in June.
