Congrats to Pasco High School and the Pasco School District: Pasco High has placed on a Newsweek magazine list of the Top 1,300 High Schools in the U.S. How cool is that??!
According to the magazine, the rankings are calculated by taking “the number of Advanced Placement, Intl. Baccalaureate and/or Cambridge tests taken by all students at a school in 2007 divided by the number of graduating seniors.” All schools on the list are in the top 5% in the country based on those statistics. That’s quite an honor for Pasco High School! (or any school, for that matter)
Go to Newsweek.com to see Pasco HS on the charts, and get more information about what the numbers/stats mean.
(Congrats also to Kamiakin HS, the only other Tri-Cities high school listed – they’re at #731.)
