After about two-and-a-half months of work, the Pasco Library will have a grand re-opening this weekend. Festivities are set for 1:30 pm this Saturday, March 21st, at the library building (1320 W Hopkins St.) across from the city pool. Library and city officials will be there for a ribbon-cutting.
You may remember we wrote back in December about the library closure, and how they hoped to be open by March 2nd. Turns out they missed that target by a couple weeks, but no big deal. The Pasco library has new floors and carpeting, 34 new public computers, and free wi-fi for folks who bring their own computers. There’s also $70,000 worth of new books and DVDs.
Here’s a KNDU news report previewing Saturday’s ceremony.
