Before everyone and his brother had a cell phone, when you wanted to reach people during the day, you’d call them at work. Usually, you’d need to leave a message with a coworker or the receptionist and then the person you were trying to contact would call you back later.
So, when I worked retail in the ’90′s, we thought it was great fun to greet someone when they came back from lunch with the following message, “La Clinica called. Your rash tested positive.”
It looks like La Clinica will be testing rashes for quite some time. They’re getting over $400,000 of federal money so that they can continue to serve the medical needs of the community.
