… and all through the house, this blogger was stirring, but not with a mouse.
The stockings were hung by the front door with care, (since we don’t have a chimney)
In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there.
The children were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of video games and stuffed animals danced in their heads.
And that’s where we’ll leave it off, because it’s Christmas Eve and I can only be so creative in rewriting a holiday classic for more modern times.
